Offlens

Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 6, 2026

Offlens is a 100% on-device photo editor. Your photos are processed entirely on your phone and never leave your device, and every edit runs locally — even in airplane mode. We built Offlens so you do not have to trust us with your pictures: there is nothing to upload, no account to create, and no cloud where your images are stored. This policy explains, in plain language, exactly what does and does not happen with your information.

On-device at a glance

All image processing — background remove, replace, or blur, basic edits, face retouch, and "magic retouch" — runs entirely on your device.

Your photos are never uploaded, never stored on any server, and never transmitted anywhere by Offlens.

The app works fully offline. You can turn on airplane mode and keep editing.

There are no accounts, no logins, no sign-up, and the app does not collect your email address.

Photos and media

When you want to edit a photo, Offlens uses the Android system Photo Picker so that you choose a single photo yourself. The app does not request broad access to your photo library or device storage — it only sees the one photo you pick.

That photo is processed only on your device and is never uploaded, stored on any server, or transmitted by the app.

When you choose to save a result, it is written only to your own gallery (the Pictures/Offlens folder) through the Android media store, and only when you tap save.

Offlens does not read, scan, index, or upload other photos in your gallery.

What we do NOT collect

We do not collect or upload your photos.

We do not require or collect accounts, logins, names, or email addresses.

We do not store your images in any cloud.

We do not build a profile of you, and we do not sell personal data.

Offlens itself does not include any separate analytics SDK. Apart from the advertising functions described below (which are handled by Google), the app does not gather personal information about you.

Network usage

Offlens connects to the network for only two purposes, and neither one involves your photos.

(1) Google AdMob advertising, described in the next section.

(2) A read-only app-version check: a request to a hosted file that returns only the latest available version code. No user data and no photos are sent during this check.

Outside of these two cases, the app does not need a connection — everything else works offline. As with any internet request, the host that answers these requests can see standard network metadata such as your device's IP address; this is not used by Offlens to identify you.

Advertising (AdMob & Advertising ID)

Offlens is free and supported by ads served through Google AdMob. The app shows an occasional interstitial (full-screen) ad after you save an image, and optional rewarded ads that you can watch to unlock high-resolution and watermark-free export. Free saves apply a small watermark and may be downscaled; watching a rewarded ad is never required to use the core editing features.

To serve and measure ads, Google AdMob and Google may collect and use device identifiers, including the Advertising ID, and similar data in accordance with Google's own policies. This data processing related to advertising is governed by Google, not by Offlens. Offlens itself integrates no separate analytics SDK.

You can learn more about how Google uses information from apps that use its services here: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads . AdMob's own data-handling explanation is available here: https://support.google.com/admob/answer/6128543 .

You can reset or limit your Advertising ID, and limit ad personalization, at any time in your Android device settings (for example, Settings → Google → Ads, or Settings → Privacy → Ads).

Children's privacy

Offlens is a general-audience photo editor. It is not directed to children under 13 and is not enrolled in Google Play's "Designed for Families" program. Because the app shows advertising, it is intended for a general audience rather than for children.

If you believe a child has used the app in a way that concerns you, please contact the developer using the details at the end of this policy.

Local cache, retention & deletion

While you edit, the app may create temporary cache files on your device to do its work. These stay on your device.

The app's Settings include a "Clear cache" option that deletes this local temporary data. Clearing the cache removes only temporary files — it does not delete the images you have already saved to your gallery. You can also uninstall the app to remove all of its local data from your device.

Because the app does not collect personal data on a server, there is no server-side personal data for us to retain or delete.

Your choices & controls

You choose which single photo to open, and editing results are saved only when you choose to save them.

You can reset or delete your Advertising ID, and limit ad personalization, in your Android device settings under Privacy or Ads.

You can clear local temporary data at any time using the "Clear cache" option in the app's Settings, and you can uninstall the app to remove it from your device.

You can choose whether to watch optional rewarded ads; they are never required to use the core editing features.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example to reflect changes in the app or in applicable law. When we do, we will revise the effective date shown at the top of this policy.

If the changes are significant, we will make a reasonable effort to highlight them in the version of this policy made available with the app. Your continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
